Team iSportz Ready for Fall “Launch”

July 10th, 2008 · No Comments

The last couple of months have been quite a struggle for us as we get everythign setup and running how we would like them. The good news, is that we now have eight sports ready for you (Football, M&W Basketball, M&W Volleyball, Baseball, Softball and Wrestling).

Now that our architecture is where we want it, the sports will start rolling off of the presses. The next couple in line (expected launch should be Fall 2008) look to be a dance/cheer site, Tennis, Swimming and Golf. Track and Cross County will be ready by the spring semester hopefully.

We are continually trying to improve Team iSportz and everything it entails and so we are looking at different photo/video hosting and delivery methods. More to come on that in a later post. Hope you all have had a good summer and are ready to jump back in to fall sports. There is no better way for fans and family to track what you are doing than with a TI website. Looks great, easy to use and extremely inexpensive.

Design and Testing of TI 2.0

January 15th, 2008 · No Comments

For our current clients and those that have been waiting on this for a long time, it is finally here. iSportz 2.0 is currently in development for the upcoming spring and fall sports websites. There will be so many changes that we have even decided to change our name from iSportz to Team iSportz (TI). By now you have probably noticed the change in URL as well (isportz.net to teamisportz.com).

We are hoping to launch the new corporate website which will include our new TI social community as well as information and screen shots of the new athletic department site and redesigned sports sites. The changes are so many that I am not going to try and list them in this one post. I will tell you that with the new design you will have the ability to post audio, video and photos all accessible from your team’s site. And the fundraising and advertising opportunites are going to be mind boggling. We are looking at a launch date of the corporate site for February 9th, 2008 with the athletic sites to come shortly after that.

If you have any ideas of anything that you would like to see in the 2.0 version (Code Name: Apocalypto), then please feel free to send us an e-mail at suggestions@teamisportz.com. We are excited about all the changes to TI, as they were desperately needed, and we are glad you are coming along for the ride. We hope to make 2008 your best year ever on the web with your team website.

High School Team Websites for Camp Registration

January 14th, 2008 · No Comments

Many schools are looking for a solution to take online registration for their summer camps.  This can be a very frustrating task.  I spoke with a good friend of mine last night who is a High School Volleyball coach and she said last summer she processed over 300 registrations manually - WOW.

At Teamisportz.com we are developing a solution where you not only get a sports website for your school but you will be able to process all your camps registrations online.

Fundraising Made Easy

January 12th, 2008 · No Comments

For years as a teacher, I spent endless number of hours trying to fundraise for my programs and students. Most of the time we used the money to help send the students to State and National competitions and some of the time we used it to buy equipment for classroom and program use.

No matter what you fundraise for, the experience for me, was always a big hassle that yielded little money for the cause. Trying to coordinate the students, who felt the money should be there already, for them was a big headache. Especially students at the high school level that already had so many other activities going on.  For years, I spent time doing alot of the work myself and not really seeing the benefit. Every year when it was time for our trip or time to purchase some much needed equipment, we always came up just short (sometimes the balance came out of my pocket) or right on target. There was never any left over to start the next fundraising project with a balance. Of course, back then, we also didn’t have the ability to do web site fundraising through the use of team websites.

With Team iSportz (TI), the ability to sell advertising is enormous. When I did fundraising, I always had the students ask their employers if they would be willing to donate some money to offset the costs of the cause. But, the employer never got anything in return. In the TI scenario, employers would actually get some pretty cheap web advertising with tons of potential clients seeing their ads. It is a win/win for everyone. With TI advertising and affiliate programs you can easily make money in the thousands and really continue to see the benefit of doing easy to maintain fundraising with your students.

If you are not sure of how to do this or need some help getting comfortable with the web site, you can always ask our helpful and friendly staff.

LSU Wins - OSU Loses Again

January 8th, 2008 · No Comments

Is anyone else tired of seeing OSU get beat in the Championship game.  They are now 0-9 against SEC teams in Bowl Games.

LSU had much better athletes and depth at all the skill positions for OSU to have a chance.

OSU does have a lot of returning starters coming back so they will probably be in the BCS game again next year - Oh Boy can’t wait!

June Jones leaving for SMU

January 7th, 2008 · No Comments

June Jones has accepted the head coaching position with SMU.  Looks like 20 boosters are chipping in $100,000/year for 5 years.  SMU has a lot of boosters where $500,000 is not a big deal and they are tired of losing.

It is hard to compete with Oklahoma and Texas for recruiting the top high school players and SMU is looking for a coach that can land some of those players.
